HERE'S HOW IT WORKS....

The most important thing is to choose the right photograph!

It needs to be a very clear close-up shot. The better the photograph is, the better the portrait will be. If there are to be two or more people in the portrait then don't worry if you can't get them all on the same photograph, it's actually better if they are on separate photos and then I will arrange them together on the portrait.

Once you have chosen your photograph/s, you can choose to either email them (in jpeg or bitmap format please) or post them to me, whichever is easiest for you. If you choose to post them then don't worry all photographs will, of course, be returned.

Once I have received your payment and photograph and I have confirmed that the photo is good enough for me to use, then I will begin the portrait, this usually takes no longer than 14 days from receipt of the photo to complete. Once the portrait is completed, I will email a draft copy to you. As this draft is a cropped and scanned image it is only a guide to how the finished article will look and does not represent the detail and quality of the original. Once you have seen the draft and are happy with it, it will either be posted to you along with your free print or, depending on what you have ordered, be printed onto your cards/invitations etc.

If you are not happy with your portrait when it is emailed to you, then you must tell me and I will endeavour to rectify and make any changes that you request.

If you have ordered invitations or cards and you would like to have the text layout for your christening/wedding etc printed onto the inner of your cards then you can either provide me with the exact layout of the wording that you require, ie Ann and John request the pleasure of your company .......etc,.Or you can just give me the basic details i.e. time, date, names etc and I can arrange the text for you. The printing of the text on the inner of the cards is included in the price you pay for your invitations/cards.

All A4 orders come with envelopes and a free print of your portrait. The sizes of the portraits available are a standard A4 and standard A3 and the size of the cards/invitations is a standard A6 (folded A5 card), for the traditional design and A5 quality paper for the modern design, see example. I only use high quality card and paper stock, and I use white or cream colours as I find they works best with the portrait.

All items are posted by first class recorded delivery and need to be signed for. The invitations are posted using padded envelopes to ensure the safe arrival of your stationery and the portraits and prints are posted using board backed envelopes or postal tubes depending on the size ordered.
